Life update if you will. Stay tuned for more .....

So, I know it has been coupled of years since I last posted so in return here is a life update:

2018:

Finished my service mission and obtained my associates degree from Dixie State University, sister had her first child a healthy baby boy and named him Jaxson Roy. I was still working at Dairy Queen while on my full-time service mission and college student.

2019: Covid -19 occurred meaning was having to wear a mask and that wasn't fun nor exciting at all. Not much happened in 2019 except for new management at Dairy Queen since the lady that was running the place decided it was time to retire and she did, now they travel or spend time with their grandkids. Nephew Jaxson turned one.

2020: Covid-19 and never did catch it, but you never know. I was still working at Dairy Queen with shifts that were long hours and once in a while coworkers would just say I am done with said job. Jaxson turned two years old. He still is silly and gets all excited about any moving vehicle wither it is an airplane or car/truck. Rascal was diagnosed with early signs of kidney failure, and he just wasn't the same after that.

2021: I started going to #heartofcountryswing to line dance and what not. I still go to this very day and have gained numerous friends. Jaxson turned three. I found a different job that works well with my schedule. I was working at a place called Power Image working in the screen-printing department, so I quite working at Dairy Queen on my sister's birthday exactly. Was a good job and it was exciting to see how tee shirt logos are done! I even got to work in the digital department weaving stickers. My sister gave birth to another little boy in November, and he is so cute. Get this they call him smiley guy and he was really tiny when I first held him, they named him Stockton so my nickname for him is triple SSS. It is a blessing to be his aunt.

2022: Currently, this year has had lots of bumps in the road and the first one was when I was fired via phone call from the screen-printing job. So, I started to apply to more jobs and had interviews after interviews and nobody was really hiring. A friend approached me and said, "I would like you to come on done to Simple Sign and just get out of the house." So, I did just that. Since than I have been helping install flag poles or taking down the banners around town (Saint George, UT). Our car check engine light came on and turns out we had a misfire on cylinder 2, which meant spark plugs, wires, gasket valve cover, possibly a water pump, septertine belt, and axle boots. We are currently looking for vehicles. The friend I have been helping out did a rental so that I would have something to drive. I was driving a 2020 Corolla and let me tell you it was little and really low to the ground, now for those that know me know that I do not like being close to the ground in vehicle. Now I am driving a 2021 Toyota Tacoma and love it. Also, Rascal passed away in May of this year and it was the very week of my dad's birthday, grandpa Barton anniversary of death and Mother's Day. You never know what it is like when you lose a parent or a pet. We figured that he was close to 17 or 18 years old. The very week he was limp and not very active, he felt cold all the time, and when it came to trying to get him into the vet for an emergency checkup it was already too late. The vet put me on hold the day I called them and later that night he had passed away. It just hasn't been the same since he has passed away. It's weird to not have him around begging for treats or being a stinker.

The last job interview I went on was for paraprofessional (Special Education Aide) at a charter school. The day I had the interview I was hired the same day I had the interview. The school is GWA also known as George Washington Academy. Can you say that I am very excited to start at my dream job?

Happy Father's Day

With yesterday being Father's Day, I have been thinking about my dad a lot and what he has done and been through during his journey. He is still my inspiration and till this very day he is always around when it comes to going through a trial or challenge in my life. I am often asking myself this very question "What would my dad want me to do? Would he want me to succeed in life? have a successful relationship with my mom and siblings?" These are just a few questions that I have been focusing on lately. Knowing that he is up their guiding me in the right path, I will always remember what Father's Day meant to my dad. Let's not forget that my sister got married on the 17th of June two years ago.

I do think about what I can do to help those around me. When friends, work, or mission are in the work of art or in this case my life. Not a day goes by that I think about the many attributes that my dad demonstrated and shared among his kids. I know that he is up in heaven watching over his siblings, my mom, sister, me, and my brother. I also know that when he is up there he is having a great time getting to know my future nephew and nieces. I miss my dad more than ever and since the day he passed away a lot has happened these last eight or nine years that he has been gone. Although it may seem like Father's day would be the hardest for me, but truth to be told it isn't the hardest day.

Fast forward to now, I am on my LDS Service Mission here at the Records Operation Center in my hometown and coming up to 13 months on my mission tomorrow. I did graduate from Dixie State University with my Associates Degree last month, my half brother little boy is going to be two in December and I couldn't be anymore proud of the guy my brother is and with my sister she is expecting in September and it is another nephew. Have a friend on his mission right now and is on the home stretch with it being his last summer in the Berlin Germany Mission.

As you can tell a lot has been going on these last couple of years. Also, Happy Father's to future fathers and the fathers now. This includes grandpa's, uncles, brother in law, brother, friends that are father's and many others.

New year!!!!

Wow a lot has happened within the year 2016. Got my first job, became am aunt, and mom got a new job. Needless to say my mom and I have been pretty busy with school and work life. New friendships were formed and the bond between my siblings has gotten better over the last two years. Also last week marks eight years since my dad has passed away. With that said nothing is like finding two names on my moms side of the family that have work to be done.

Confidence

Of all the lessons in life the one that I feel is important for me is learning how to boast my confidence level up from being low. You may be wondering what I mean by confidence and how it helps me in my life. So here it goes imagine someone that you are really close to it can either be a parent, sibling, or a friend. As our dear friend Dory from finding Nemo has said "Just keep swimming" and things will take a turn for the best. Just know that it is alright to fall and it is alright to know that everything has a reason on why did this happen or why is it happening to me. At times you may feel as you are alone for this and are searching for that extra confidence in life whither it be in school or at work.
Take it from me when I say by developing  confidence you will be able to do anything that you put your mind to.

Laugh of the day

You will get a kick out of this story or chronicles of working in the fast food business.
So I was at work today when this firefighter comes out of the men's restroom and tells me that someone previously left the tap on in the bathroom and so u can guess what happened next the bathroom floor was flooded.

All the joys of having a job.

Memories of Derek

This past weekend I attended my cousin Derek's funeral and it was sad and very emotional. He had oastacoma cancer which is a bone cancer. About the last few months the tumors started to grow bigger and they kept on growing from head to toe.

I do have great memories of my cousin and well he was the type of kid that loved to eat sugar or he would bring his movies or his video games with him to grandmas.

I know that he is in a better place where he is pain free and that he is going to watch over his friends and family.

Pest in peace Derek Errol Hoyt.
